It's official: RIP Jelena. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are no more, and I have to say I saw this one coming. They're both talented young people with bright and glossy futures ahead of them but, like most, I'm doubtful of young love panning out in the long run.
Here's what I think about the Bieber and Selena breakup blues:
Selena is 10 steps ahead of Justin. She's ready for a man. But I have a feeling Bieber is at a critical point in his life now that he's single. He can either focus on his career and flourish or he can focus on fun – and the ball is still in the air. Since late nights and wild parties don't fly with Gomez, she needs to let him handle the fork in the road and choose the path for himself. Meanwhile, she has to keep on keepin' on her (so far) stellar path to womanhood.

As you start to get older, life forces you to make decisions. Some couples are split up because of college, some follow different career paths, or, like Justin and Selena, some people's schedules get too busy for love to be enough. Life works in mysterious ways and often times, it's in a way that tests and tries young love.
For now, so long Jelena. You were one of the great ones. Learn from your mistakes and don't let the heartbreak deter you from future loves that come knocking at your door. Bieber, be smart with your next moves and don't let anything get in the way of real life and real love.
